Frosty Mornings

After breakfast, we often go snowshoeing to check the trapline, or just to enjoy the morning. Here are a few pictures I took last week.

I took this picture of our cache as we were leaving the yard.

The next two pictures are of alder cones covered in thick frost.

These pictures were taken another day while we were snowshoeing after a heavy snow.

Your photos are beautiful. And I like the caps you are knitting for the soldiers. I'll have to check out the site you referenced. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings to you and your family.

I REALLY enjoyed your post ! I just posted some pics of our winter scenes here. I have been having a tough go with colds and flu's in our home. So getting around bloggyland has been hard. Wanted to come by and say Hi.

Hi Mary! Good to see you. I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you've been doing. Sorry to hear you've been sick. GARLIC ! ! ! ! That's the key.
I haven't been able to get around to blogs much lately because now our inverter is dead. We have to run the generator when we're online, which really eats up the gas. Since we have to fly it out, it's way too expensive. Anyway, I did pop into your blog a little while ago. Beautiful pictures!
Stay warm,
Jenny

I love the heavy frost covered trees best, we had wind a couple of days ago and our trees are bare again, I am looking forward to more snow and frost for the trees!

Beautiful pics, Jenny. I especially like the spiral of perfect snowflakes--wow. You've got a good eye!

Hope you get your generator issue fixed soon.

Blessings on your Sabbath!

Just found your blog thru Treppewitz. Great thing you are doing for the soldiers.
Can you share some info about your life there. How many kids do yu have? Did you give birth to then in your cabin or go to a hospital? How did you decide on this lifestyle?

Hello Ariela. Thank you for visiting and commenting. We have two boys, both adopted at birth. I've dreamed of living in the woods of Alaska since I was a little girl.
